Shropshire Exotics opened on 14th June 2005. We have many years of experience keeping reptiles and exotic mammals but we are always willing to listen and learn more.
Our staff and helpers are friendly, approachable and helpful, all are enthusiasts who love keeping animals, enjoy chatting with and helping like minded people. Please feel free to pop in for a chat, there is no pressure to buy.
Animal welfare is our main priority, and we are happy to answer all your questions to the best of our ability. We can help you decide which reptile suits your needs and fits in with your lifestyle.
Most of our stock comes from breeders that we know and trust, both from our local area and also Europe. We hand pick the stock to ensure only high quality animals are sold at a competitive price.
Set Ups
The set ups we provide have been put together with the specific requirements of the animals in mind. There are places selling set ups that are cheaper, but you do not get the same quality, in some cases the animals' specific requirements are not taken in to account and catered for. You do not get the same after care that we provide, and they cannot offer you piece of mind.
We use only high quality, well known products, your animals' health is important to us, and with our set ups you can be sure you will have everything you need to keep your pet happy and healthy in one easy package.
We offer vivariums in a wide range of sizes and colours, they can be custom made to fit in with your requirements, whether you want a show piece or a standard vivarium in an unusual size. However, the vivariums included in our set ups are standard sizes although if required we can taylor the set ups to meet your specifications.
Frozen Foods Selection
At Shropshire Exotics we offer a range of frozen rodents as food for your pets, we also stock day old chicks, and rabbits.
Animal welfare is important to us, so we often have frozen rodents in stock that have been bred by a local breeder who keeps his rodents as pets, he dispatches them humanely and they are then taken immediately to the freezer. These frozen fresh kills are very popular with snakes who seem to react enthusiastically to them. Even tricky feeders are keen to take them, although this is not a guarantee that these frozen fresh kills will help all non feeding snakes.
We have a high turnover of frozen foods, so this 'special' selection is not always available, if you specifically want the frozen fresh kills please call the shop before popping down to avoid disappointment.
